Apple, on 20st July, Thursday, announced that the Mac OS X Lion has had more than 1 million downloads, just a day after its launch. The number, according to the company, represents the largest number of sales that an operating system had in Apple’s history.
“Lion is an excellent start with the feedback from users and industry reaction has also been recorded fantastic,” said Philip Schiller, senior vice president of global product marketing at Apple, in a statement.
Some of the features include the Lion’s new Multi-Touch gesture-based, support for full-screen applications, the Mission Control, a vision of everything that is running on the Mac: the Launchpad, a place to gather all user apps, and an e-mail application completely redesigned.
The OS upgrade is available for download with more than 250 new features for U.S. $ 29.99 (Approx) in the Mac App Store.
