Well, well, what do we have here? The silver version of the HTC Droid Incredible 2 (aka Incredible S in the rest of the world) which will most likely hit the portfolio of Verizon Wireless in the near future. From what we’ve heard, aside from the color change, the device will remain unchanged, specs wise. In that sense, expect the same single-core processor, 4-inch WVGA Super LCD touchscreen, 8-megapixel camera, 768MB of RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity support, GPS and so on.
Not sure that many people will appreciate this new phone with Droid Bionic poised to be released within a month or so. On the other hand, not everyone wants to give up his/her arm and leg for a smartphone. If Verizon offers the Droid Incredible 2 Silver Edition for let’s say $100 on a contract — and consequently third-party retailers further slash the price — they may have a good shot and excite enough people to make for a profitable product. We’ll see…
