How To Back-Up iPhone App Data

Back-up iPhone App Data

First install the DataDeposit in your iPhone. It is similar to the installation of any Cydia app. After installation when you re-spring the device, you will get an important notice on the screen. The notice is as given below -
“Please terminate any app you are restoring, as necessary files are being held in memory and may not restore correctly.”
Next to this message you will see a button written – OK, I Got it!
Click on this button and next go to “Change Settings…”
At this stage link your Dropbox account and toggle it whether you want to use the HTTPS version or not. Moreover, it will ask you whether you want the back-up files from Library folder or Documents folder. Well, leave these two options as ON and as an added security it is recommended to keep in HTTPS form. Now, just pop in the Dropbox credentials and from the main menu you select “Back-up My Save Data…”
After this you will see your apps list. Now, tap on an app to take the back-up. A confirmation dialog will be seen.
Now tap the button and it starts working. All the data will be compressed by DataDeposit and will be uploaded to a newly created folder with the name “DataDepositApp” in the Dropbox.
The restoring process is also easy. Just press the Home button two times and the app switcher appears. Hold the app icon that is to be restored and then tap on the red minus sign to close it. Make sure you close the app which you are restoring. The restoring is similar to the backing up process. From the main menu you need to choose “Restore My App Data…” and then tap the app name.
